St. Agnes Youth Ministry participants grew in faith, service and friendship over this season, look at some of the things that we did:

Sandwich Ministry:

From August until June, Middle School and High School ministry groups made about 4,000 sandwiches for the homeless of Miami; we used some of the funds you helped us raise to organize bags of toiletries for the homeless as well.

Teen-led High School, AGAPE and Ignite the Faith #2, Retreats ministered to almost 100 youth, drawing them closer to Christ;

Fundraising for others:

Our Tiny Saints fundraiser helped us help others and send several of our teens to March for Life to show our support for the preborn babies of the world and our fall bake sale helped disabled children of Miami;

Growing and learning:

We had weekly meetings for our high school teens and twice a month meetings for our middle schoolers where we had opportunities to listen to others share their faith; vocation and mission experiences; we formed teen leaders with our Peer Leader Ministry;

Cooking, Serving and Witnessing:

On four separate occasions St. Agnes youth have prepared meals at Milanezza Restaurant and Bar and then ventured to the streets of Miami to serve and visit with the homeless of Miami. (About 100 teens got to have this experience.) and we helped with various projects for the parish including mailing preparation, the ministry fair and census counting; we participated in the Life Chain in Miami; we walked the Live Stations of the Cross with the Archdiocese of Miami;

Building Community:

We have gathered as a community of faith to grow in relationship with each other and to better serve our parish and community at large. This includes celebration of the Eucharist for the youth of our community and we participated in a Youth Ministry Olympics in Broward County.

Be a part of it ALL during the next season!! Be on the lookout for the Annual Enrollment Information in the late summer!

An important message from Sister Maria Andrea

Dear Parents,

We thank you for entrusting your children to us for their religious education.

Our Religious Education Program at St. Agnes has grown and we are proud to share with you that last year we had over 640 registered students, 170 will receive the Sacrament of First Communion and 90 received the Sacrament of Confirmation. This growth would not be possible without your commitment to share your Catholic faith with your children, but especially this would not be possible without the over 100 volunteers that share their love and time with your children, the teachers and assistants. To be better prepared for the beginning of the school year, we have decided to open registration now.

In order for you and your family to take advantage of our early registration fee, you must register your children by June 16th.

Please read carefully the information attached to make sure you understand the new fee schedule. Fees goes up after June 16th and then again after August 25th.

It is also important to note that next year we will be offering classes on:

  • Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 6 pm;
  • Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 6 pm;
  • Sunday from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

You must choose the day you want your children to attend, but space is limited especially on Wednesday and we cannot make any exceptions, so if scheduling is an issue please register early.

This year you are able to register online in our App under the Applications tab.

If you prefer, you may register in person on Mondays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. After May 20th, we will receive registrations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and on Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

If you have any questions please call us at (305) 361-1379.
Many Blessings!

In the love of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
Sr. Maria Andrea, SCTJM
