Angel Tree

Angel Tree was founded in 1982 by an ex-prisoner who witnessed firsthand the strained relationship between prisoners and their children. It has grown to become the largest national outreach specifically for the children of prisoners. Since 2001, St. Agnes has been working with the Prison Fellowship to evangelize inmates and offer Christmas gifts to the children in the name of their parents in prison.

At St. Agnes, our Angel Tree team works with the whole parish community to ensure that the children of prisoner’s receive gifts for Christmas, even when their parents are unable to provide.

    Our volunteers help:
  • Contact families to find out about their children’s needs and gift wishes (beginning in October).
  • Buy much needed clothing and Christmas gifts (before Thanksgiving).
  • Help plan a party where we meet and share the joy of Christmas with the children and their caretakers. The parties are held each year during the first week in December.
