Middle School Science Teacher

St. Agnes Academy located in scenic waterside Key Biscayne, Florida is seeking a full-time Middle School Science Teacher for the coming 2023-2024 school year. The applicant must be a dynamic and innovative educator with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills and enhance an understanding of scientific methodology. The Middle School Science Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Teaching Schedule: 7:20 A.M.- 3:20 P.M., Monday- Friday.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education; Master’s degree preferred.
• Florida Department of Education Teacher Certification in Science grades 5-9; professional or temporary required.
• Knowledge of all subject areas in science (Life, Earth, and Physical).
• Demonstrated ability to use the technology skills needed to use digital books and interactive classroom technology as well as integrate technology into the subject.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Must be a team player, able to collaborate with colleagues for the benefit of the students.
• Clear and concise communications with students and parents.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic preferred.
• Must have a professional demeanor.

Spanish Teacher

St. Agnes Academy in scenic and waterside Key Biscayne, Florida is seeking a full-time Spanish Teacher for the coming 2023-2024 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Spanish. This teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Teaching Schedule: 7:20 A.M.- 3:20 P.M., Monday- Friday.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field.
• Florida Department of Education certificate in Spanish K-6, temporary or professional required.
• Must have knowledge of the cultures, heritage and rich diversity of the countries that make up the Spanish-speaking world.
• Must have complete mastery of the written and spoken Spanish language.
• Must be able to demonstrate the technology skills needed to use digital books and interactive classroom technology.
• Must have clear and concise communications with students and parents.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
